Use the setting in the log out or restart dialog
Definitely was not a solution. I have an s6 and this keeps happening to me. Its almost like someones using my phone remotely. Apps that need fingerprint or password to open are there without needing to use my print or password, apps i use recently are there, apps ive not used in months are there. Everything is updated 100%. Open the App Store and redownload the app. Some apps require subscriptions for activation. If you can't activate the app or you don’t remember your sign-in information, contact the app developer. Apple Watch: Open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap the My Watch tab. Scroll to the app you want to remove, then tap it. I only have this issue of the mail app going 'full screen' when I have an existing app in full screen view. (It doesn't go full screen if I'm not already in full screen view of another app) For example, I open up Safari and make it full screen, then while I am browsing, the mail app opens itself, randomly, next to Safari taking up half the page making me exit out of the mail app to go back to. Turn off your Mac; Turn on your Mac and immediately press and hold the Shift key. You will see the login window, when you see it, release the Shift key. Now your Mac is in Safe Mode. Does iTunes open itself? To exit Safe Mode, restart your Mac normally. See also: iPhone Keeps Connecting and Disconnecting From Mac.
When you log out of your Mac or restart it, deselect ”Reopen windows when logging back in” when prompted.
Or start up in safe mode, then restart normally. This doesn't change the setting, but your Mac forgets any windows that were open the last time you logged out or restarted.
If you deselect this setting and an app continues to open automatically:
- The app might be a login item. You can add or remove login items in Users & Groups preferences.
- The app might have installed its own startup software. Often this is controlled by a setting within the app. Check the app's preferences or documentation, or contact the app's developer.
